C P Thakur and N K Singh meets PM on Patna airport
Posted On : Aug 09, 2012Patna, Aug 9 (PTI) Bihar BJP president C P Thakur and JD(U) MP N K Singh today met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi earlier in the day and apprised him of steps taken by Nitish Kumar government to remove obstacles threatening reduction of big flight operation from Patna airport. "We briefed him about steps taken by Bihar government for removal of the obstacles and sought a month's time," Thakur told reporters here. The PM gave them a patient hearing and said he would hold a meeting with Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh on the issue. Thakur said the state government had started pruning trees following instructions of Airport Authority of India. Other conditions laid by DGCA and union civil aviation ministry would also be complied with within the next three months.
